The annual Sumner Neighborhood Cleanup will return on Saturday, May 16, at Helensview High School. This is a great way to clear debris from your home and yard for a small donation!
Items to bring: Yard debris, furniture, windows, carpet, scrap metal, washers/dryers, toilets, mattresses, mowers (gas or oil removed), woodstoves, bikes, tubs, toys, sterios, VCRs, old cell phones, and used ink cartridges.
Do NOT bring: Hazardous waste including gasoline, chemicals, oil, paint, tar, batteries, animal waste or liquids of any kind. Do not bring the following building and landscape materials: concrete, asphalt, dirt, sod, brick, cement, sand, gravel, roofing, asbestos, or under-the-sink garbage.
Residential vehicles only. No commercial vehicles will be accepted.
Clean up fees/donations: $5 for cars; $10 for vans or SUVs; $20 for pickup trucks; vehilcles with oversized loads will be charged an additional fee. Tires are an extra $2 off rim, $3 on rim.
The Sumner Neighborhood Association is sponsoring this event with generous help from METRO, Portland Office of Sustainable Development, SOLV, Subway, AGG Hauling, Central NE Neighbors, and Helensview High School.
